The section, that is built by the Bickhardt Bau Consortium is 12,500 meters long. It runs from junction Schwerin in the north to the junction Ludwigslust-South. A total of 2.2 million tons of soil have to be delivered from five sand pits nearby. In peak times 50 trailer trucks are in operation. The new highway embankment has to be piled up to 6 meters in front of the new bridges. Once the antifrost layers have been laid aprox. 9 kilometers of the highway are built with a concrete construction which sums up to 215,000 square meters. The other areas of the section are built with an asphalt construction.
The contract includes the construction of two PWC-highway parking places with sanitary facilities and 4 bridges.
